1. Why This Page Exists
24 Hour Gaming is an independent, self-hosted gaming community — not a faceless platform. This page is a plain-language summary of how we moderate content, how we handle legal and data requests, and how you can hold us accountable. As we grow, we intend to publish periodic figures here so our practices stay visible.
2. How Moderation Works
Content on 24HG is reviewed by a combination of community reports, staff moderators, and automated tooling that flags likely abuse for human review. We do not auto-ban on machine signals alone — automated systems surface candidates, and a person makes the call. Our rules are set out in the Content Policy, and copyright matters follow the Copyright & DMCA Policy.
3. Reports & Actions
Every report routes to a moderation queue, where it is triaged by severity. Anyone can submit one via our report form — no account needed. Actions range from a warning to content removal to account suspension. We keep an internal record of moderation actions so decisions can be reviewed and appealed. Once we have a meaningful volume of activity, we plan to publish summary counts here, including:
- Reports received and reports actioned
- Content removed, by category
- Accounts warned, suspended, or closed
- Appeals received and overturned
4. Legal & Government Requests
We only disclose user information when we are legally required to, or to protect the safety of people on the platform. We review each request for validity and scope, push back on overbroad demands, and — where the law allows — aim to notify affected users. Copyright takedowns and counter-notices are handled under the DMCA Policy.
5. Your Data & Rights
Our infrastructure is hosted in the EU, and we apply GDPR rights to all users: access, correction, deletion, and portability. You can request a copy or deletion of your data, and we process those requests within statutory deadlines. Details are in the Privacy Policy; data requests go to [email protected].
6. Security & Incidents
We use encryption in transit, restrict access to personal data, and keep backups. If a security incident affects your data, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities as required by law. To report a vulnerability, email [email protected].
